Graphite Electrodes (HP & UHP) – Reliable Conductors for Electric Arc Furnaces

Graphite Electrodes are high-conductivity carbon conductors used to melt scrap steel in Electric Arc Furnaces (EAF) and to refine steel in ladle furnaces. Manufactured from premium needle coke and coal tar pitch through a high-temperature graphitization process (up to 3000 °C), our HP and UHP grades deliver stable conductivity and low consumption.

Each electrode is precision-machined with tapered nipples for secure joint performance and consistent power transmission across the full electrode column.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between HP and UHP electrodes?

UHP (Ultra High Power) electrodes are made from premium needle coke and undergo deeper graphitization, delivering lower specific resistance (≤5.5 μΩ·m) and better performance under high current densities. HP (High Power) electrodes suit standard EAF operations with cost-effective performance.

Which diameters are available?

We supply diameters from 100mm to 600mm, with lengths from 1500mm to 2700mm. Custom dimensions can be arranged for bulk orders.

Are nipples and joints included?

Yes. Electrodes are supplied with matching tapered nipples and packing protection as standard. Joint options can be customized.

Can you provide a third-party inspection report?

Yes. Third-party inspection by SGS, BV, or equivalent labs can be arranged upon request.
