Calcined Petroleum Coke (CPC) – High-Purity Carbon for Anodes & Metallurgy

Calcined Petroleum Coke (CPC) is produced by calcining green petroleum coke at 1200–1350 °C, driving off residual volatile matter and moisture to deliver a dense, high-purity carbon material.

With its high real density, low ash and consistent quality, CPC is the essential raw material for prebaked anodes in aluminum smelting and a premium carbon additive across the metallurgical industry.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between CPC and green petroleum coke?

Green petroleum coke is the raw, uncalcined product. Calcination at 1200–1350 °C removes volatile matter and moisture, raising fixed carbon to ≥98.5% and increasing density — making CPC suitable for anodes and carbon additives.

Which sulfur grades are available?

We supply low-sulfur CPC (≤0.5%) and standard grades. Sulfur content can be tailored to your anode or recarburizer requirements.

Can CPC be used as a recarburizer?

Yes. CPC is widely used as a carbon additive in steelmaking and foundry applications. For applications requiring ultra-low sulfur and maximum carbon recovery, we also recommend our GPC.

What is the minimum order quantity?

MOQ is typically 20 metric tons (one 20ft container). Larger bulk orders are welcome.
